I grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey—a quaint, historic village in Bergen County.
A student-athlete, I was lucky to receive a liberal arts education from Trinity College where I could absorb all sorts of subjects like Economics, Philosophy, and Creative Writing.
I spent that first year out of school working for a Swiss investment bank in New York City, before being offered a role in London shortly thereafter.
Realizing banking wasn’t for me (while grateful to be living in Europe), I spent 7 years abroad—traveling the world, and filling up notebooks with experiences.
Having saved up during those London years (and after attaining UK citizenship) to truly pursue my passion, I left banking in 2015 to focus solely on the writing craft.
From there, I traveled the world, notebook-in-hand, scribbling in bars with beers. Those salad days were my favorite—meeting wonderful strangers, making delicious mistakes.
Seeking to honor the expat literary tradition, I want to bring readers the world from the American eyes of a curious fool. To be honest. To show how strange and wonderful life is, especially with strangers.
Currently freelancing, I’ve completed several short stories, business articles, and ghostwritten pieces. I’m also working to finish my first novel, based on my years abroad.
Influences include Henry Miller, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Dostoyevsky, James Joyce, Jane Austen, D.H. Lawrence, Hermann Hesse, Bukowski, and Oscar Wilde.
